What started as a simple community gathering over cakes has now evolved into something even more exciting… Welcome to Cake War – a fun, flavorful competition where Baton Rouge bakers bring their best, and cake lovers help decide who takes the crown.

After the success of our Cake Picnic, we knew our city had a sweet tooth and a whole lot of talent. So this year, we’re taking things up a notch. On Saturday, September 21st, Boba Partea will host the very first Cake War at our Costco location in Denham Springs – and you're invited to be part of it.

Whether you’re a passionate home baker, a rising cake artist, or someone who just really loves dessert, this event is made for you. Bakers will battle it out in front of tasters and judges, each bringing a one-of-a-kind creation to the table. Cakes will be judged based on flavor, creativity, and presentation, with awards in multiple categories like Best Design, Most Creative Flavor, and People’s Choice.

And let’s not forget the tasters. For just $30, cake lovers can dive into a tasting experience that includes dozens of cakes, a large Boba Partea signature drink (milk tea or fruit tea), and a voting token to help crown a winner.

This isn’t just a contest – it’s a celebration of our community. With support from both our Celtic Drive and Costco locations, we’re bringing together customers, bakers, and local foodies for an unforgettable day of sweets, smiles, and a little friendly competition.

Expect more than just cake. We'll have music, a photo booth, games, and all the good vibes Boba Partea is known for. It’s a chance to make memories, discover hidden baking talent in our city, and connect over something we all love: cake.
